Senior Project Manager, Transportation – FL (Available for Tampa, Orlando & Miami offices)
The Opportunity
A dynamic opportunity awaits a Senior Project Manager, Transportation in Florida. This role involves supervising and guiding a team, delegating tasks, and ensuring project milestones are met with accuracy and on schedule. The position is available to candidates located in Tampa, Orlando, Miami or those who are willing to relocate to Florida.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Relations: Establish and grow relationships with clients, delivering tailored solutions that positively impact communities.
- Business Development: Develop solutions that meet client needs and lead successful pursuits for engineering and consulting contracts.
- Industry Leadership: Represent the company within professional organizations to enhance visibility and influence within the transportation sector.
- Strategic Oversight: Drive planning and execution across operations and business development.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and organize the work of other transportation professionals, maintaining project quality and client satisfaction.
- Quality Assurance: Review engineering designs and plans to ensure compliance with state, regional, and local standards.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in roadway design, preferably with FDOT.
- Strong understanding of project documentation phases and local design codes.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant design software, such as Microstation and OpenRoads/Geopak.
- Skilled in temporary traffic control and pavement design analysis.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and a P.E. license in Florida (or eligibility to obtain within 6 months).
- A minimum of ten years in engineering and project management, with a focus on progressive responsibility.
